Stephanie Sorrell, aka FinLitMama, is an Accredited Financial Counselor and Financial Literacy Advocate who is passionate about equipping Service Members and the military community with financial life skills.
While living near MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL she had the unique opportunity to meet with hundreds of Service Members from all branches. Stephanie lead individual counseling sessions, facilitated classes and briefs, developed new programs and empowered individuals to begin planning their future.
Stephanie’s financial literacy journey began when she was sued by a major credit card corporation for non-payment. Um, hello, how did she think that was going to turn out? It was at that point she realized that she needed to be smarter with her money.
Education is the key to changing the future. She now shares her passion for personal financial literacy with others in the hopes that they will not make the same mistakes which she did.
She is the spouse of a Retired Army Captain and the mom to a fiercely independent daughter. Stephanie has a slight obsession with chocolate and ginger ale.
